Snapchat following list

The Snapchat following list allows you to see all the accounts you currently follow on Snapchat. It’s an easy way to manage who you’re connected with and can help you find friends, brands, celebrities and more that you may want to keep up with in your feed.

There are a couple different ways to access your Snapchat following list:

  • Open your Snapchat profile by tapping on your Bitmoji or profile icon in the top left corner.
  • Tap the gear icon in the top right to go to your Settings page.
  • Scroll down and select “My Friends.”
  • Tap “Following” at the top to see the full list of accounts you currently follow.

Or:

  • Swipe down from the Camera screen to access your profile.
  • Tap the ghost icon to the right of your name.
  • Tap the user icon in the top left corner.
  • Tap the gear icon in the top right to access your Settings.
  • Scroll down and select “My Friends.”
  • Tap “Following” at the top to see who you follow.

Features of Your Following List

From your Snapchat following list you can:

  • View profiles – Tap any account to visit their profile and view their public Stories.
  • Search – Use the search bar at the top to quickly find accounts.
  • Manage your list – Tap to unfollow accounts you no longer wish to see in your feed.
  • Discover new accounts – Scroll down on the Following page to browse ‘Suggested Friends’ you may like.

Adding Friends to Your Following List

There are a few ways to add new friends and accounts to your Snapchat following list:

  • Search for usernames – If you know a specific account name, search for it and tap ‘Follow’ on their profile.
  • From your Contacts list – Snapchat will suggest friends who also have Snapchat linked to your phone contacts.
  • Snapcodes – Scan posted snapcodes to automatically follow accounts.
  • Quick Add – Tap the ghost icon on profiles to quickly follow without opening their full profile.
  • Suggested Friends – Browse and follow friend suggestions based on your connections and activity.

You can also follow celebrity profiles, brands, publishers and creators to get their public content in your feed. There are millions of popular accounts on Snapchat across entertainment, news, sports and more.

Unfollowing Accounts

To unfollow an account on Snapchat:

  • Go to your Following list in your Settings.
  • Tap and hold on the account you want to unfollow.
  • Select “Unfollow” to confirm.

That account’s Stories and content will no longer show up in your feed. You can refollow them at any time to resume seeing their updates.

Finding Friends Who Don’t Follow You Back

Snapchat doesn’t have a mutual friends list, but you can still find out which of your friends don’t follow you back. Here’s how:

  • Go to your Snapchat Following list.
  • Tap on any friend’s name to visit their profile.
  • Look for your Bitmoji under their Friends section.
  • If your Bitmoji doesn’t appear, it means they are not following you back.

Repeat this for each friend to see your full list of one-sided friendships.

Viewing Your Followers List

Unlike your Following list, Snapchat does not provide a full list of users who follow your account. This is by design for privacy reasons.

You can only see your followers if they are also your Snapchat friends. To check:

  • Go to your profile.
  • Tap the gear icon.
  • Select “My Friends.”
  • See the “Added Me” section for your follower list based on your friends.

Brands and creators can see approximate follower counts on their Snapchat analytics, but do not get access to a full followers list.

Troubleshooting Your Following List

Here are some tips if you’re having issues with your Snapchat following list:

  • If your list is missing certain accounts, try closing the app and reopening to sync your follows.
